Harlow is set to become the UK's fastest growing area for a decade, following plans being approved for a multimillion-pound redevelopment project across the town.
The works have started and will deliver…
- Around 3,000 square metres of new commercial, retail and community space
- An improved public realm, including a new east-west pedestrian boulevard and around 6,250 square metres of improvements to the town centre streets, including 83 newly planted trees
- 578 high-quality new homes
- A new sustainable transport hub, providing first-class transport options and supporting both the town centre and Harlow and Gilston Garden Town.
- A new Arts and Cultural Quarter, which will regenerate Playhouse Square and College Square and provide a diverse range of artistic, entertainment, cultural and heritage disciplines to establish a regional hub for innovative events.
- New opportunities for businesses to relocate to the area
